*Safety Kayaker

Sun. July 13th, 2025 | 6:30 AM - 1 PM

Each kayaker will be briefed on safety and given a specific area or task the day of the race.
Safety kayaker must have their own kayak.

Provide swimmer support and guidance on the water during the race. Must have your own kayak and PFD. Kayakers will be assigned an area and get in the water following a safety briefing at the swim beach. Please have kayak in the water and ready to launch around 7 following the safety briefing.

*Motor Boat Drivers & Hands on Deck - Bring a boat if you have one.

Provide safety assistance to swimmers as needed from a motorboat.

*Parking/Directing Traffic

Sun. July 13th, 2025 | 5:45 AM - 8:00 AM

Volunteers needed at each of the following spots; Visitor Center, beach entrance, and registration parking lot to direct swimmers and spectators to the appropriate locations.

Volunteers needed to help direct swimmers, spectators, and traffic on where to park, when to get on the shuttle and how to navigate to the swim beach.

*Registration Table & Award Giveaway

Sun. July 13th, 2025 | 6 AM - 11:00 AM

Help out at the registration table before the event and handout awards after the event.

This position is responsible for assisting in check-in for registered swimmers and volunteers. The registration process takes place at the Pactola Visitor Center overflow parking lot, we will have chairs provided for you but please dress appropriately as you will be sitting outside during check-in. After all the swimmers are checked in we can shuttle you down to the swim beach to help hand out awards during lunch.

*Safety Lookout

Sun. July 13th, 2025 | 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Volunteers to be on land to keep an eye on swimmers and anything else that may be going on in the area.

*Beach Assistance to Swimmers

Sun. July 13th, 2025 | 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM

A Safety position to be on the beach and/or in the water to assist swimmers as they get out of the water.
